Why Dolva exists

Most home goods don't tell you
what they're made of.

We started reading labels and couldn't find honest answers — not in candles, not in linen, not in anything worth keeping. So we made some things and found the rest. Every ingredient, every material, every maker — named. Always.

01
Every ingredient disclosed. Not "fragrance." Not "natural blend." The full list, every time. Coconut-soy wax, phthalate-free fragrance oils, cotton wicks — you can read ours right now.
02
Every maker known by name. We've met the people who make what we carry. We've been in their studios, seen how they work, asked the questions that matter.
03
Made to last. Not a trend product. Not designed to run out fast. A ceramic piece you keep for twenty years. A linen throw that gets better with every wash.
04
The Irishness is in the product. West Cork seaweed isn't interesting because it's Irish — it's three hundred years of Atlantic harvesting tradition. Irish linen has two hundred years of heritage behind it. The origin is the point, not the decoration.

The candles

Four scents.
One for every moment.

01
Hearth
Warm · Grounding · Evening

Fireside, amber, sandalwood. The smell of inside when it's cold outside. The first one you reach for when the evening gets long.

02
Cove
Coastal · Clean · Atlantic

Beach linen, white tea, a drift of driftwood and sea. The smell of the coast before the wind picks up.

03
Dusk
Deep · Earthy · Nightfall

White sage, lavender, oakmoss and amber. The quiet that settles after dark. Still air and warm stone.

04
Mizen
Bright · Sea air · Daytime

Bergamot, white tea, black coral and moss. Open water, clean air. The furthest point on a clear day.

The refill system

The piece stays.
The scent changes.

A ceramic vessel you keep for life. A refill that drops straight in when the candle burns down. No tools, no mess, ten seconds.

01

Start with a piece

Your starter kit arrives with a ceramic piece and your first refill already inside. Light it. Live with it. The piece is yours forever.

02

Lift out the insert

Coconut-soy wax contracts as it cools. When the refill burns down it lifts cleanly out. No scraping. No residue. The piece looks exactly the same.

03

Drop in the next one

Refills arrive on your schedule. Monthly, every six weeks, whenever. Swap scents with the season. Cancel anytime.

who share our values.

A considered selection of Irish-made goods — linen, botanicals, homeware. Sourced in person, each maker visited. West Cork is where the brand began. Ireland is where we source. The origin is in the product, not the packaging.

Our story

"On the West Cork coast, the weather comes in hard off the Atlantic. Long evenings, rain on the windows. You learn to be good at being inside."

Candles, tea, a book — not a ritual, just what you did. I live in Atlanta now. Same instinct, different window. I couldn't find the things I was looking for — candles that told you what was in them, linen that came from somewhere real, products worth keeping. So I started making some and finding the rest.
