The Refill System
Most candle jars get thrown away when the wax runs out. The Dolva piece is ceramic, made to be kept. When the insert burns down, it lifts out clean and a new one drops straight in. No tools, no mess, no waste.
How it works
The insert fits snugly into the piece. When the wax is gone, let it cool and the coconut-soy contracts as it cools, coming out cleanly in your hand. Drop the new one in and you're done.
Your pre-poured wax insert arrives wrapped in paper, plastic-free and ready to use. No prep, no pouring, no mess.
When your current candle is spent, let it cool for an hour. The insert contracts as it cools. Press gently from the wick end and it comes out whole. No digging, no residue. If it doesn't release easily, two or three hours in the freezer will do it.
Place the new insert into your piece and it settles to a flush fit, the wick centring itself. You're ready to light within seconds.
The spent wax insert is coconut-soy and can be composted or used as a firestarter. Nothing goes to landfill.
Subscription
Each refill burns for approximately 40–50 hours. For most people burning 4–5 evenings a week, that's around six weeks. So that's our recommended cadence — every six weeks, a new insert arrives before you run out. Adjust to suit how you actually burn.
